The apartment is located in a brand new high rise building in Downtown Brooklyn.
While the exteriors of the building are quite unique and the units have spectacular views, the interiors were left as a blank canvas. The client asked me to create a warm and inviting space, a cosy home for her, her sons and 2 cats. My goal was to work with the stark clean lines of the space, but to use a soft color blocking palate, ample curvy furniture and warm textiles. The large round column in the living room was the only round element in the space so I used it as a design anchor for everything around it. The Orchid floor lamp was a perfect choice in its soft but stark design, and the beautiful beige hue!
